A great Sunday to you all , i am believing that as the month is coming to an end all your desires are coming to pass or better still taking shape , if not then hang in there a breather is on the way. Its been an eventful week as the Lagos Fashion took center stage and i dare say its amazing how fast and large the Nigeria fashion scene is fast developing. The main sponsor, (GTB) Guarantee Trust Bank hosted various designers to Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013,the event was also supported by British Council, Maybelline (official Makeup sponsor), Wines, Frallain, Haute Fashion Africa and MTN.
Lagos Fashion and Design week 2013 kicked off on Wednesday the 23rd of October and came to an end Saturday 26th 2013. Yours truly was selected as one of the Makeup Artists that worked backstage with a fantastic Makeup brand Maybelline . Bimpe Onokoya was the head Makeup Director in charge of the various looks created for the Runway alongside the ever capable Lola Maja., i am also happy to have worked with other wonderful and talented Makeup artists such as Chichi of Faceville, Steven of Othinga Makeovers, Noredia of Nory Makeover, Kunbi of Sit pretty,Tokunbo of Edan Makeovers, Labisi of Faces by Labisi Folawiyo, Dorcas, Deji, Oriton, Promise, Tonia and Mabel.
The backstage was so boisterous and packed with models and designers and i loved every minute of it, the models were amazing and the designers were at the top of their game. I had the privilege to interact with a few of them namely Mai Atafo, Lanre Da silver, Jewel by Lisa and some other great designers.
All the action was happening at the loud backstage trust me when i tell you makeup application is tough work, we were on our feet all of the nights but it was great fun.
